News Project 2

TBA Improv Interview from Spencer Cohen on Vimeo.

My "plan" for the news story was to go to a special event featuring SUNY New Paltz's own student improv group, TBA Improv, and interview two members of the group. I would ask them about the event and the group itself. Then, next class, I would film my partner for the project, Harris, talking about the event.

Overall, I am much happier with how this project turned out, compared to my last project. I believe that Harris and I did a great job shooting and editing this project. My only complaint is that I wish that I took my Zoom recording device to the improv event to interview the two group members of the group. The audio would have been much better. But, other than that, I am very satisfied, and feel that I am one step closer to becoming a better "digital storyteller."

To be honest, I am not very proud of my work on this project. One reason is that many photos used in this project are not my own work, and I gathered them from online sources. I did this because unfortunately I did not take great photos that related to my excerpt from the story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Another reason is that some of the photos were "stretched out" and did not look right. This was because these images were not HD images. The third and most important reason is that some of the images are displayed for a long duration of time. Looking back, I wish that I had used more images, even if they were from online sources. I felt, however, that this was a good first attempt at "digital storytelling," and I enjoyed working on this project.
